## GP Practice Grievance Procedure
### Raising a Grievance
Any employee may raise a formal grievance in writing to the Practice Manager (or a Partner if the grievance is about the PM).
### Informal Resolution
Before formal proceedings, encourage a conversation between the employee and their line manager. Document the outcome.
### Formal Process
1. Employee submits written grievance
2. Practice acknowledges within 5 working days
3. Hearing arranged — employee has right to be accompanied
4. Written outcome within 5 working days of hearing
5. Right to appeal within 10 working days
### Appeals
Heard by a senior/independent person not involved in the original decision.
**Note:** Grievances about discrimination or whistleblowing have additional legal protections — seek HR advice immediately.
